Sara fery.

I like to think of myself as a hybrid figure who creates unique and unrepeatable metal things,

mixing artistic approaches and a natural feeling for multimedia communication.

Silversmith & Wordsmith.

It’s not about dreams, but visions.

Liberty rock, baroque-chic, ironic gothic, mystic minimal, art inspired.

Italian. Born in Desenzano, Garda Lake, and raised in and around Franciacorta, Brescia.

I got a degree in Mass Communications with a Major in cinema, tv, and Multimedia from the University of Bologna. I always had a thing for visual arts and writing fictional materials. During my teenage years I’ve developed a true and deep interest in fashion shows and music videos, and I began work as a copywriter for an advertising agency.

Besides intellectual creativity, I’ve also always cultivated manual activities and forms of art expression. At some point in my life I was in a middle of creative chaos: “what will I have to pursue more? Music video director, screen and adv writer or fashion designer?”

Eventually, lightning struck, and I decided to dedicate myself to my main vocation: creating artistic things to be worn.

So I started again: my professor was a master goldsmith, and my subject silver. I found myself immediately involved into the technique of piercing and sawing, the art of “openwork”.

  • As soon as the collaborations and collections grew, in 2009-2010 I opened my lab.

  • In 2012 I took a jewelry cultural trip in Lisbon where I stayed for a month to learn and observe their approach to contemporary jewelry as contemporary art.

  • During the last years, I’ve collaborated with several artists and met amazing clients that have become also friends.

  • In 2020, due to the pandemic experience, I started experimenting with paper cut art and I’ve introduced brass into my creations.

  • Metal collages made out of brass sheets are now a new reality and artistic path.

SKULLS.

You might like them or not. I’m a big fan of skulls because they are the bony structures that ensure our brain. They have been the main subjects of the VANITAS classical paintings, too. They are the shape where our essence will remain until the end of time.

SPOONS.

My favorite kind of amulet. I’ve chosen the spoon shape to represent my homage to all the artistry people and creative ones who need some good vibes.

AND I’VE DEDICATED A WHOLE PROJECT TO IT.

SILHOUETTES.

All my metal works are hand cut from silver or brass. Two-dimensional jewelry technique that has become my trade mark.

925 Silver and upcycled Brass.

I don't use molds, lasers, or wax. I sketch all my ideas on digital sheets, then I print them. I add details and modify the design using a simple ink pen, and I work directly with metals. It’s a choice, and it’s how you can always recognize my style and artistic approach.

I never waste my metal, but I melt it anytime to create from a circular point of view. I mix 925 silver remains with brand new silver grains.

I make my ingots, my silver sheets, and also the silver wires here in my lab by myself.

I chose the components to finish and assembly chains, hoops and closures exploring the best solutions among my trusted components companies.

Since 2020, I’ve added brass to my productions, collaborating with the amazing light design company ANNALARI, who supports me with high-quality brass coming from their lamp remains.

Not only jewelry.

You can have your big metal art piece too.
