Helm of Awe / Bodylace - Belt - Necklace
Directly from Norse mythology, this is a runic starve appreciated among tattooists and symbol lovers.
The Helm of Awe
(Icelandic: Ægishjálmur, Old Norse Œgishjalmr)
This helm of awe was originally a kind of sphere of magical power to strike fear into the enemy. A shield in order to protect from all the damages and dangers coming outside.
Its meaning is so fascinating and full of deep details that convey good vibes just by wearing it. Some well-known artists own it as a tattoo, Josh Homme for instance.
My metal and wearable version is made of brass with a touch of rock glam style. Hammered, polished, and with some black patina. You can wear it in many ways. It’s up to you.
Hand-cut brass. The Helm of Awe is ca. 6 cm.
